In Greece, EU fertilizing products (CE), New Type fertilizers and products subject to the MD 217217/2004 need to be included in the organic farming register of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food to be labelled as suitable for use in organic farming.

For this purpose, an application accompanied by the required supporting documents is submitted to the relevant department of the Ministry. After evaluation of the application, an official document regarding suitability of use in organic farming is compiled. In case the product is suitable for use in organic farming according to the Regulation (EU) 2018/848 and Regulation (EU) 2021/1165, it is included in the relevant official register on the website of the Ministry.
