Sustainable Development & CSR
Sustainable development means that developmental and environmental policies are based on a cost-benefit analysis and on a careful financial analysis that will strengthen the environmental protection and will lead to the increased and sustainable levels of prosperity.
Based on the definition mentioned on the Green Bible for the Corporate Social Responsibility (European Committee, 2001), the “Corporate Social Responsibility’’ is a term based on which companies integrate on a voluntary basis the social and environmental concerns on their corporate activities and on their contacts with other interested parties, as they realize that a responsible conduct leads to a sustainable corporate success”.
